MODS and next years inpection?

MODS and next years inspection?
hi all.
recently read somewhere and heard from my mechanic yesterday that next years inspections are going to be done differently
he said that all cars '96 and up are going to be checked with OBD scanner.
i guess it has it's +'s and -'s.
so heres my question. for all those with intakes exausts headers and etc.
i assume it will effect the obd reading? how will we pass inspection?
maybe a dumb question. but i thought i'd ask ahead of time before i go to crazy with power mods.
