So today im driving home from school. Im going about 40 down some street there cruising in 4th gear. All of a sudden i hear a loud a$$ clanking sound and then BAMM!!!!! So i see this dark smoke coming out of the back of the car. So i shut the motor off. I let it roll to a stop and get out. Some people that were driving in back of me stop and tell me that there was fire under the car. So i just run and call the fire department. Turns out it was fire coming from the oil that leaked out onto the precat. Fires out everything is cold. So i get the car towed to my brother in laws shop. We put the car on a lift and found that there was a tremendously huge hole in the block and oil pan. Automatically we knew it threw a rod. So seems like im just going to get a new motor and sell the car. Just wondering what peoples thoughts of this were. Anyone have any opinions on what my next car should be? 350Z or Srt-4?
