And with the .5 coming from stroke, the 3.5 rod 'should' be longer, and therefore weaker-->Correct? Haven't checked 350z forums, but I'd be interested to see how many rods the big horse boosted guys are throwing?? But I agree, they dont make them like they used too. Peace_
How do you know the .5 comes from stroke? The 5.5 gen brochure says the the engine was bored out.

IMHO the content of the below post is as worthy as the english in which it was written.

The 3.5s tend to ingest the throttle body butterfly set screws or the 2ndary intake runner butterfly screws- this blows em up in no time. I also seen 2 6th gens at the dealer with the block cracked right under the intake manifold.

Just for reference guys, down here in the dirty south, where we have great tracks and great weather during the winter, AND the fact that our tracks stay opened during the winter... I've got a friend that run's all the way down to 13.7's in stock SRT-4's, and I personally ran against a bone stock 04' 350Z that ran a 13.7 stock... If you'd like to see the video check it out... I looked thoroughly through his car and verified it was a brand new stock 6spd 350z base model. Still had the temp tag on the back window too... Here's the video: http://www.clanh2k.net/~frosty/frostyvs350z.wmv
