Transmission lurches

I've got an 02 6-speed and I can never quite get smooth shifts out of it. Its not always my fault, but I know from a fact that whenever I drive a honda, its much smoother.

Are there any transmission additives to use or any techniques to make this car shift smoothly. I have the lurching, its really annoying. Especially from first to second gear.

I drive a 2k, so i dont know if this helps, but it seems with me that if i rev in 1st to about 3.5-4k rpms before shifting to 2nd, my shifts go significantly smoother. pair that with whats been described to me as that "the maxima clutch is very harsh" stock, maybe that helps.

Dude, its not a HONDA...

The 6speed maxima is not an easy car to drive smoothly.

The mixture of a sensitive DRIVEBY WIRE throttle and an already finicky tranny makes it difficult to shift smooth.

What i noticed thoguh, is that if you keep your foot on the accelerator, ie, like 2mm (barely touchging) between shifts, you can actually get ultra smooth shifts!
