Help!!!

alright... here goes. i don't know how willing you guys will be to help me out but you are my last hope. i have a 2002 wrx. nissan makes the window switches for my car. however, they only put the auto down on the driver's window. i have heard that the maximas (i heard the v6's but maybe its all) have auto up and down on both the passenger and driver's side. could someone with this setup possibly post a pic of what your drivers side switches look like and possibly confirm the auto up and down functions? if you have the part number for the switch assembly, i would owe you big time. i live in germany so i can't just go to a nissan dealer and ask. if you have anything that would help me in my quest, i would greatly appreciate it. send me an email with pics or info (or criticism, as i am asking for it). nl_vikings_27@hotmail.com

thanks
josh

You are correct. 2002-2003 maximas have both up/down on both driver and passenger side.

Go to this site
http://www.jerryromenissan.com/ to the parts section and you can browse most of the parts/order them. I think you would be able to find what you need there.

I can post some tomorrow, if you're interested ... I have an '03 Max so it has the driver and passenger auto up-down ...

And don't worry about looking for any help from any of us here just 'cause it's a Maxima web-site. I think most everybody here is just into cars in general (the Maxima especially, of course), but we can respect others that aren't fortunate enough to own a Maxima!

Besides, the WRX is a very nice car!

You know, it's not just the switches. The auto up/down window motors and wiring are different too.

if you could post a pic of the driver's and passenger's side switches that would be perfect. if the wiring is different, thats easily changed, same with motors. i just need to make sure the switches truly do look the same. thanks a lot!!!

All maxima have a V6 engine...

and just getting another switch will do you no good. The actual window motor and wiring will not work with the switch. You will have to replace the whole window motor as well.

if you are in Europe, SAAB 92x that just came out is the same car as your Subaru, so the switches/motors are same as well...

window switch pictures

I tried but was unable to post pictures to the forum. I have emailed pictures of the driver's and front passenger's window switches to the address you posted in your initial message. Good luck.
