Maxima no longer hesitates after meeting Nissan Tech

Maxima was scheduled to have surgery for her hesitation between 2nd and 3rd gears on Friday. She has always hesitated from the day I met her. I took her to the dealer and the technician drove her; he call my cell 15 minutes later and said nothing was wrong with the the shifting. I said "yes there is, I know you can feel the pause beween the shifts", he said "no, and the computer shows everything is perfect". So, I told him that I want to drive the car myself and show him. While driving the tech around town, the transmission shifts perfectly. In fact, 4 days later, the transmission still shifts fine, but the technician claimed that he didn't do anything to the car and that everything is in perfect condition. I saw him when he left but I didn't see him when he came back; however, when I got back to the dealer, the car was on a mechine.

I was appalled to find out that the car hesitated for the past 9 months that I had it and when I took it to the dealer for the TSB, it suddenly shifts perfectly.

Thought I'd share another mystery

They probably did fix it, but they get their rocks off by telling customers "NO PROBLEM FOUND"

I took my 2k2 GLE in and they felt the problem but couldn't figure out what was wrong. I've had my ECU reprogrammed and my tranny taken apart and put back together. They never found the issue but it has driven better ever since. Thankfully they put all under warrenty and i paid $0. IF you ever feel it again, bring it back!
Peace

i was a tech for chevy and i can tell u y they sometimes tell u theres nothing wrong with it and they do fix it, here it goes, when a car is under warrenty a customer can come in and make up a story and ask for major parts to be changed under warrenty now when that happens company loses profits, so instead if its something small they will fix it and tell u nothing is wrong i have done this a hand full of times just to not hear my manager on my a s s. But also for some reason cars can sence that u are takin it to the doctor and they just stop doing what they do its weird but true.

LOL that's probably true. It did that wtih the Mercedes I have, and when I took it to dealer to check the battery or alternator. They said there wasn't anything wrong. I'm like something really funny. When I drove it home, it was fine. I don't even know if it has a electrical gremlin going on in the car.

Dammit I wish he had told you what he fixed because I have that same problem. I cleaned my K&N, used chevron w/techron gas, changed out the solenoids and the TCM, and now thinking about replacing the MAF (or maybe cleaning it)

They probably poured some BG44k. Or maybe did a Induction cleaning service. Sneaky Techs

My hesitation problem went away when they replaced my MAF and reprogrammed the ECU. Hope this helps.

Now THAT'S intimate!! I always refer to mine as the "Dog" or "Pitbull" 'cause a number of folks who tried to run me, got bit for trying.
