running only springs???

how bad is it to run just springs with the stock shocks. I was thinking progress or maxspeeds with the stock shocks on my 01. what would be the difference here? Probably get shocks later on down the road but dont really want to pay for them now...

they would die faster with progress becuase they drop lower. Many here drop with only maxspeeds, since the drop is minimal you can use your stock shocks, but of coarse it's always highly recommended you buy aftermarkey struts with aftermarket springs.
You should be fine for a few ten thousand miles.. When the car starts to bounce more...youll finally need the shocks..

Would it be safe to say that the amount of mileage you already have on the stock struts would be a factor to look at as well?

Maxspeeds on SE struts for 25K no problems. I know the GXE struts are a little softer so they may bet bouncy sooner.
