red bulbs for rear turn signal

on a 2k-2k1. Anyone done it? I've always disliked having the rear turn signals flash orange while my rear side markers are flashing red....my only concern is that red bulbs would not be as "red" as the tail lights above them....

pics/comments appreciated.

Meeeh, side markers shouldn't be flashing in the first place.

He said rear turn signals genius...

schuss had some APC Titan chrome red bulbs, and they weren't pink, but weren't red enough. He ended up using the chrome amber ones instead...

Maybe LEDs would look better?

I have the APC 1156's in red. The camera doesn't take a good pic of it but looks good at night. You have to shave down the "nipples" on the bulb to make it twist and lock.

The red chromed ones I had looked too pink. I switched to some amber chromed ones. Both were from autolumination.

the side markers are rewired to flash with the blinkers.... It's so drivers next to me will see me signaling right before I sideswipe them and can get the hell out of the way

btw you don't have to buy "chromed" bulbs.....you can take regular 1156 bulbs in amber or red and paint them with a thin coat of silver enamel. That way they don't show up when unlit, but show up exactly the same when lit.

but I digress.....i want them to flash red, not amber. (just like the rear side marker FLASHES red when signaling)...

I won't get involved in this "disagreement" between limsandy and triple8, but if you read the original post carefully, its clear who the correct person is.

they're both wrong.

Anyways, I ordered red bulbs online and then also ordered red clear covers that fit 1156 bulbs. By doubling up the red, I hope to make sure it flashes red and not pink. I'll let you guys know how it turns out when the bulbs come in....

I know irish wanted to know what bulbs he can put in his tail lights to that it blinks red, like his side markers. What I'm saying is.... the side markers shouldn't be flashing in the first place - all Maximas come without the sidemarkers flashing. If triple8sol cared to re-read the posts, in which case he can't be bothered to do so, he'd have understood what irish and I were saying (2 different things).

Anyway, for the rear turn signals, you'd need 1156 bulbs,Here is what I'd buy personally

I'm thinking that by doubling them up, it might look more red, but it will reduce the actual light output?

And yes, I used to defend you as well. Remember when you were trying to sell something to someone, and you guys had some misunderstandings and he flamed you and I defended you? If this is how you want it to end, so be it. I have no regret, really. We can continue whoring this thread, or we can go PM each other. Sorry, irish.
