Hey that's a 2002 or an 03'...Mine is an 01', (comes with stock 17') can I do this with ease? How does yours drive now? Less comfort? Smooth? What did it take to get them rims on? Is there a down side? Sorry so many questions...

What are you talking about Macalert?

Bigger rims = thinner tires. Which means the ride gets harsh.. NOT HORRIBLE but the ride will be alot more UNcomfy then ur 17s. Unless you get some tires with meat on em. Also, the bigger the rims, the higher the chances that you will bend them when you hit a pothole. So you gotta be real careful from potholes.
Also, when you get big rims, you have to keep in mind that you get what you pay for? So rims that are cheap will most likely crack or bend easily when you hit a pothole. Also, you have rubbing and grinding issues. You have to modify your fenders when you get rims that are big such as 19s and 20s.

I believe POLO just got his 19s and he has rubbing problems. He'll fill you in also I believe Kloogy got 19s. They'll add more to this.

I could have sworn we had this big rims discussion like a million times.

you can run 20's with 245/35/20 or 255/35/20 and you will not rub, i had 20's on my car you can check out my cardomain page and had it drop with gc's and 2k1 and 2k3 come with the same size wheel base, but i would recomend 245/35/20

20's on a Max look hot

... but the selection of tires is very limited and most tires over 18" are damn expensive!

You can go wrong , if you get ghetto 20's and your car ends up looking like a grasshopper, with a body lift....Notice how Titaniumax03, Max sits low, with minimal wheel gap. His Max doesnt look like its ready to cross the Colorado River.

I am getting 20s soon as well but I am waiting to see if I can get a specific rim in chrome. I was offered a new choice in tire size the other day. It was 255 30 20. They are shorter than the 245 35 20 and actually closer to stock height. I am considering them although they are a bit more expensive. Continental from Germany. Sorry all you haters out there but I think 20s look pretty good and the roads here are the best I have ever seen so why not.

I was gonna post my pics..but looks like Housecor beat me to it and saved me the trouble..thanx

well obviously the ride comfort is gonna change especially if you change to lowering springs and get a lower profile tire...change was not too dramatic, you just about feel every bump in the road..no more of that floaty feel as well...and of course the downside is that its gonna slow you down a bit..the 20's are much heavier than usual..but obviously if your gonna get chrome 20's than your most likely not the "go-fast" type..
