Illumina Settings Revisited

Can some one please tell what the setting for a decent daily ride. I am getting mine tomorrow and maybe installed this weekend and I was hoping I can get some of your feedback to help with the settings. I am currently using H&R and HP's and I hate this setup. Also, what other springs beside H&R and Eibach are out there that would match the damping rate of the illuminas.

Thanks!

I have 4f and 3r and seems to be pretty good. It also depends on your springs. I have the Tein S Tech springs.

Stock springs, 2f/3r and it's comfy.

What's wrong with your current setup? Too stiff or choppy? As far as settings go, that's the great thing about adjustables... if you don't like the ride, tweak it!! From some other threads, 3R seems to be a common theme. The fronts vary a bit more. A lower number up front (softer) would most likely induce more understeer, while a higher number in the front (stiffer) would induce more oversteer. Depends on your other mods, though, and how they all contribute to the big picture.

Have you checked out this link on springs/struts yet?

The best setting depends on the rate of the spring you're running. That being said, I run 2F/2R on Progress.

I think you've got this backwards. Stiffer in rear relative to front causes more oversteer.

Thanks for the response.
By the way The setup is so stiff that actually my back started to hurt again. I know most of you like the H&R springs for being a lot softer than the eibach but I was hoping I could get some feedbacks on different springs in terms of dampening. Quite frankly if the new springs/Illuminas setup does not cut this car got go specially that I just spent another $2500 buying new MM EVS reams and tires and new struts. I wish I did not trade in my 97 SE I deeply regreted it!

Thanks again

I have...............

I have my illuminas set to 3F/3R on Tein H Tech springs. Love this setting. I have experimented with all settings just this past & find this setup gives the best of both worlds Comfort/Handleing . 85 MPH feels like 50mph and corners like it is on rails.
