what does it take to install a 2K/2K1 MAF sensor in a 2K2/2K3?

The setup would be for kloogy. kloogy blew another MAF sensor this morning on the way to work and the MAF sensor for the 5.5 gens are way too expensive. What does it take to install a MAF from a 2K into a 2K2?

Thanks....

I think it was the 2k1 MAF sensor... you have to swap some temperature sensor from the 2k2 MAF to the 2k1, which should have a slot for it (?) I remember a picture of it...

Call Dave Burnette at 888-254-6060. You can order the new version of the 2k0-2k1 sensor. The new version has the 5th pin and 2 sets of clips installed on it. All you have to do is remove the thermistitor (looks like an orange resistor) from the side of the 2k2-2k3 sensor and install it on the new version of the 2k0-2k1 sensor. The cost of the new 2k0-2k1 sensor is around $105, unless prices have changed recently. The thermistitor is held in by metal clips on the side of the MAF and is easily removed.

haahhahahha, from teh father of blown mafs... The K&N oil can **** with it. The great air flowing properties of the Apexi will screw with the MAF because of the huge increase in Airflow (most of the time you'll blow a MAF with the apexi at full throttle/highspeed). As for a monsterflow, i dont frikkin know, i havent used that one yet. hahahhhaha. But i know the MAF's go on a monsterflow as well.

Here you go GIO. The maf on the right is the 2k2. See the little wire in the middle of it with the Thermistor? Take that wire off and apply it in the same spot on the 2k maf and you are done. W/O the wire on it you will get an ses light.

I just cut it and soldered on the new sensor. Yes the dying MAF's are a pain. I wonder why the 350Z guys never have this problem. What makes theirs different? It should be same part right?

Also note in the picture above, the sensor on the left has the pins in it, but is not the latest and greatest sensor. The newest one looks exactly like the one on the right, but without the thermistitor.

I took a knife and a hammer and lightly tapped the knife between the clamps till they opened up.
