Brakes

Ok, I'm going on my third set of brakes and I have questions. If I were to buy cross-drilled or slotted rotors, will be able to resurface them later or are they worthless. I don't want a big brake upgrade because of cash flow. Any suggestions as to what kind of rotors and pads I should buy?

Yes, you can resurface them. They resurface just like a regular rotor. Some shops may not know that, and say they can't be resurfaced, but a good shop will know that they can resurface them.

I had my slotted rotors resurfaced about a month ago with no problems...

Check out http://www.ssbrakes.com/ for a quality BBK that costs half of any other you'll find... These are what I have.

How many miles have you clocked with the ssbrakes rotors/pads? They look pretty nice, but my concern is they are the same diameter as the OEM rotors.

I don't remember how many miles I had on them but I rode them pretty hard and it was less than a year...

Also, my front BBK were 13" rotors... WAY bigger than the OEM rotors, which are around 11" IIRC...

OEm rotors are 10.6" I believe.

BTW with the BelhmCo kit it uses the 2k4 maxima rotors, which are 12", FYI.

For most of the BBK's you have to have aftermarket rims (18"+)....The BelhmCo kit using the OEM calipers with 2k4 rotors fits under your factory 17's. More FYI. I feel like a ***** for Matt93SE! (matt, I think I need some free **** for all the promos j/j)

Actually the stock 2k and 2k1 front rotors are 11.0", the 2k4 front rotors are 12.6". Yep, I've got Matt's BBK, but with the 300ZXTT calipers. The setup is awesome!!
