Interior ideas.....

anyone gettting any ideas from this?

for those who are doing any lighting or styling mods on the interior, I just thought I'd post these pics of a non-maxima (my wife's Mazda 3) since it's a very cool interior, especially at night. Just for ideas for our maximas!

btw, I love the shift ****, it's perfect.

An impressive interior for a car in that price range - though I've never been a fan of amber illumination.

does the 3 come with the under dash lighting? It is kinda hot, but I am also not a huge fan of red.

I on the other hand LOVE amber lights.....reminds me of my old Bimmer . Hel!, even my home stereo is Orange with Yamaha and Pioneer! My SE's white gauges are cool, but I cerainly don't dig red as much. Too hard to see and wears on your eyes at night. Peace_

True. Problem is, in my case the Amber reminds me of my GF's beaten up Grand Am.

The lighting isn't amber, it's more of a deeper red in my opinion. ALSO, you turn a **** and it changes the gauges from all-red to mostly blue with red highlights....very cool. The red-and-blue scheme is reminiscent of VW/Audi night lighting....

Well, BMW has had red since the old ages, then pontiac copied them, and now everyone is on the wagon...

Same with MB's yellow...

As far as the maxima goes, it doesn't matter what color you put since it just isn't bright enough. Unless someone figures a way to boost the light output to the lighted surfaces without melting everything in the way it will never have that sharp instrument appearence of newer vehicles.

I've been thinking about putting neons that come and go with the interior lights but haven't really done anything yet.
