I have to tell you...

I love those 6 spoke 17 inch Nissan wheels! They make the Max look awesome. Nice car you have.

thanks

Hey thanks alot, ya i just had to get the C&C package just to get those wheels. I clean them like every day I agree they make the car look way better than the 16" rims do..

Thanks,
Adam

Hey you might want to put some wheel locks on there... I talked to one of my friends in Houston on Saturday and his 17" SE rims had gotten stolen off of his...

that guy bought the wrong car

i test drove the accord v6 and thought it to be rather boaty compared to the max. it totally leaned real hard and sloshed back and forth on a slalom type run - had decent power though not like the max. And when i say test drove, that means i took it to a large vacant lot nearby and gunned (redline)it in 1st, & 2nd and cranked the wheel until loss of traction, peeled out, slammed on the brakes (straight and turning), just basically drove the F--k out of it for about ten minutes to see what it could do. It is not a sports car. If you want a sports car and you bought an accord, you bought the wrong car.

b.t.w. the only four door that i checked out that handled better than a max i.m.o. was an impreza 2.5 rs sedan. thought it was underpowered though.

dont think so!

i have repeatedly toasted my brother in his 98 accord lx-v6, and to say that they have the best engine in class? hahaha, i would take the max's VQ and the toyota camry v6 over the accords v6. just let those honduh guys be dreamers

Re: dont think so!

man don't let those honduh haters bug ya man...
they do sux...
i owned 3 preludes in my lifetime...
they are fun cars if you mod them right
stock... they're just bs
civics are slow
a stock 5sp 2k would take a fully moded civic any day..
cause i've seen it happen.
accords if modded right will give you a run for your money.. but look at the majority of people who drive accords anyways.
young ricey kids with little money..
or old grandmas.
=)

that's my two cents

The Maxima's not a sports car either.

Consider this flattery guys! If all they have to do is sit around and worry if they could beat a Max - then let em'. And when it's go-time at the stop light - SHOW EM'!

May 2000, Road & Track

Read that issue... May 2000 of Road & Track at your nearest library. IT has a nice comparison test between:
Camry LE? V6
Accord V6
Grand Prix GT (non Supercharged version)
Taurus
and big daddy kane Maxima.
What was number one? Maxima.

by the way, a fully modded civic does 9s. a mildly modded Maxima does high 13s? Best?

I had a CRX... best handling car i ever owned (of course, it was modified with some of the very best suspension parts). Fun car to drive. I wish i had another one. The maxima doesn't compare. Not even on the same level. Wanna compare cars, compare it to a Grand Prix or a Grand Am GT. Or some other four door sedan with a v6.

Re: May 2000, Road & Track

Do you mind posting the numbers from that test? 0-60, 0-100, 0-120, and the 1/4 mile time? Thanks.

Hondusted

Hey what's up....funny how on the honda board the entire conversation is about how they wish they can hang with us. I haven't lost one race to a honda...stock or not...since I got my Maxima - 2000 SE 5sp. Of course I haven't raced a S2000 or NSX, but get me a skyline and we'll see what's up. All I have to say is Bring It On...

New Civic

Anyone see what a joke Honda made of the new Civic? The commercials are horrible, they don't make me want to DRIVE my car like the Nissan commercials. I think they screwed themselves with this remake, but I bet it will take off anyway. Just my 2cents.

Holy crap i saw a blue one today on the road. Wow what an ugly piece of crap. At least before it resembled a bmw from the rear but now it reminds me of a toyota avalon or somthing else. It is bugly....
