Does ANYONE make refills for the driver's side wiper??? Walmart and Shucks both didn't have them. I was a little annoyed, since the little wiper information computer at Shucks matched my car up with a wiper of the wrong size.

Did Nissan make the cars, then not tell anyone what size wipers they had? ack!!!

I think it's a 26" wiper, which no one makes

Couldn't you just get them from the dealer?

I sure did. People should try the search function more often. Here's the link:

The size is 25.5 for the driver side. I bought a refill from the dealer and found the narrow 17" blade for the passenger side.

The dealers are the last peeps I want to go to, since I figure they'd charge more for the parts

You would think a dealer would stock wiper blades since it's a common replacement item. I wouldn't go to your dealer for an oil change since I might have to wait a couple of days for him to order the oil and filter.

5th Gen Wipers

Am I the only one who thinks the stock wipers stink? I have only had my car (2K1 SE) for about two months and they squeal badly and do a horrid job clearing the windshield. I am thinking of going to Bosches, even though that is a bitter pill with a brand-new car.

Re: 5th Gen Wipers

I too recently had to replace the wipers on my 2000 GLE. Tried to find them at my local auto parts shop, and found they didn't stock it. Yes, the driver and passenger side wipers are asymmetric, as you all noticed. I had to order it from the dealer, and they messed up with the order, which wasted some time.

I have had my 2K1 SE since February 22nd and the day I took it home it started to rain here in Georgia and has continued to do so after every time I wash my car. Since I am fanatical about my car, this has turned into 2 or 3 times a week. My wipers are doing a fantastic job, except for the spot on the windshield that the passenger wiper reverses direction. It has left a scar that is only apparent when wet, at least it is not right in front of my eyes. BUT, I try not to use my wipers until the windshield is very wet, not just misted. I Windex my windshield and wipers just about every other night and always after a rain to remove the road grime so the glass won't scratch as badly. It take five minutes out of my day, however this morning I drove to work in a NASTY thunderstorm with a clear view out the front.

I immediately got bosche wipers for my 2k and was upset to see that there was 24" and 28" but no 26"
So I got a 24" and a 19" instead of the stock 26" and 17".
Same with my winter blades and its been running fine for me.
so bosche isn't outta the question

I agree...Bosche wipers rule! That's all I used on my old Sentra. I'm just holding out a bit longer on the stock wipers.

Hey I have that "scar" too. It only shows up when wet. I tried using a glass cleaner and rubbing it off. It looks like a smear. When it wipes that vertical area, it looks like a smudge. If I have my wipers in intermittent mode, the smear goes away after 1 second. It appears to be something like a petroleum residue or something.
