Shocks...squeeking already?

Hey guys,

So today I was driving home and I happened to have had my A/C on and the radio was off, and I noticed that my car was making all kinds of squeeking noises as I was driving down McDonald Ave in Brooklyn (which they're redoing so it's nasty and rough). I tried to localize the squeek so I drove over some manholes and first I'd hear the hiss from the shock absorber, then It would be followed by some squeeks. It did it on all 4 wheels.

So my question is, should I take this to the dealer? My car is an 03 SE with 32K miles on it (it was a rental). Will the dealer replace my shocks? Is that even something that's under warranty for the first 3/36k? Or will he tell me it's normal and lube it up so that it doesn't act up again until my warranty expires? Anyone have any experiences like this? Anyone else have had this problem?

Much thanx!*sigh*

Hey i got a 00 Max and when i hit minor bumps i hear squeeking noises from the front driver side. I dont think its anything major and i dont think your shocks is bad. If your worried and want it checked out just go to the dealership and see what they tell you. BTW i know how you feel i drive in brooklyn everyday and it seems that they are doing construction in every neighborhood.

I got an 03 with similar miles. Not so sure you got a bad strut.
You do have a lot of rubber bushing and a seal that can go dry. In the lower suspension arm, the sway bar and where the shiny rod comes out of the body of the strut.
Buy a couple of cans of silicone spray and give that a try

It could be the strut mount.
