What is up with my transmission????

After i put on my headers my AUTO tranny has been acting up....

....i slowed down from 30 to about 10 and then pressed the gas again.....the rpms went up but the car didnt go anywhere.... then BAM!!!... the trans caught and the tires peeled like crazy ... i didnt even want them to it just happend

also the tranny upshifting has been sluggish and shifts like crap

i figured i need a new tranny but need to wait until teh slipping is more evident for the dealer to see

but on teh way home tonight i put the car in 3 instead of D... and the car felt awesome... shifts were ALOT better... and i could slow down and pull around a turn and the car downshifted on piont instead of slipping

what is going on??/

your tranny is slipping and its gonna give out very soon..
if you are under warranty you should definately get it changed FOR FREE .. at the dealership.. you dont have to pay anything..
call 800 NISSANUSA to be sure if you are under warranty.

def take it in, even if the dont do anything at least you will be on record about this prob, which means if your tranny goes after your waranty you are still covered, just as long as you brought it in before your drivetrain warranty is up. This is a lil different then the topic but a lil related. When I first bought my car I had a prob with my automagic, when i ran it hard it would not shift into drive until I slowed down a lil. I put a tranny cooler on my car about 2 years ago, That prob is now gone. I manually shift alot n drive hard, my car has 105k on it and NO work done to the tranny other than the cooler. All I am saying is dont jump to conclusions take it in see what they say. All auto are eventually going 2 die some quicker than others. Be optomistic
