I'm So Sick Of Driving on Dirty Roads

So i elave the house at 5:00 am pick up 4 people and were off to workout.. ( switch off driving days to save gas) .. I'm Driving down Dale Mabery ( Major road in Tampa) and CONSTRUCTION!!!! Dang. So i drive slow and steady threw the powder of the work.. and the road is a little wet from rain. The Powder or dust is so thick now that i can barely see anything. I know the car is going to be dirty, no big deal just a little bit of time spent washing her. Well i get home to find about 1/8 inch of PLASTER type powder all over the car.

The main question -- the powder is covering the bottom of the car. Are there any really important parts that i need to clean under the car. ( already cleaned wheels , not really brakes though.) And if anyone lives in Tampa and knows what im talking about What is this powder?

I would be calling FL DOT and finding out what kind of work materials they were using and complain.
