There are so many new ppl on .org, and the original 5gen owners have traded up by most part. It will be 4 yrs in August since I bought my Max. This is the longest I've ever held onto a car. Tell me I'm not alone! lol

 

I got my 2000 manual Maxima used about 2½ years ago w/ 31k miles on it. I now have over 90k. I love this car and am planning on driving it to its grave, hopefully not for a while though.

 

Same here; this is the longest I've kept a car as well my previous cars were either stolen or vandalized; sad I know. I'm still happy with the max I have too.

 

I've had mine since May 2000.. 85k miles.. I always traded at around 2-3 years or 50-60k miles...I want to pay this one off and then get something newer.

 

I just got my 2KSE last year. I traded in my '95 for it. I had my '95 for about 9 1/2 years! I couldn't pass up the deal...the 2KSE only had 28K miles on it being it was 3 years old!

 

We purchased our 2k SE in Nov 2000 with 90 miles on it... now it has 55k. We also plan on driving it either a) rusts apart b) cost more to fix than it is worth c) get irritated and be willing to eat the negative equity and trade it

No really we like the car... it just seems to be the "little fender bender" magnet in the past year.

i've had my car for exactly 5 years and a day today and i just hit the 100k mark yesterday

 

I got my 2000 maxima SE new in february of 2000.......I've had it about 4 years and 3 months, and have put 46k miles on it. I will probably drive it until it breaks.

 

I miss my 2000...

Bought her Sept 2000 and she currently has 84K.

 

Still have my 2000 I30. Since I changed the coils,MAF,ATF fluid, tires and added the Berk intake this year, I plan on keeping it for the next 10 years. Currently have 34K miles.

 

got mine used in 6/2001 w/ about 22k on it...now has 85k. going to ride it until the wheels fall off (then i'll get some new ones and keep going).

I just bought my 2001 Maxima SE not to long ago from a VW dealership in Houston. The car was in great condition. The leather seating, BOSE stereo buttons, and exterior paint is in excellent condition.

The only thing that was missing was the floor mats and jack stand with tools. So I bought a new set of mats from Nissan and I'm going to find a used jack stand and tools at a junk yard.

Right now I installed tinted windows, sylvania silverstars, and I just ordered a set of clear side markers from custommaxima.com.

 

Im still here, bought back in August of 1999!!

 

I have mine still and just turned 60k yesterday. So I put a chrome grille kit on, changed the spark plugs, and washed/clayed/waxed it today for its b-day...lol I just set up a cardomain site too check it out and leave comments please.

 

Still have my 2K SE bought 09/08/00- Only 33K careful but hard miles so far!

 

Bought My 2000 SE Feb of 2001 with 33K and now...

 

I got my MAX in July 1999 and still enjoy it!

 

3 years and a month now- 85K miles later.... I plan on probably giving the car to my GF - soon my wife and I'm going to get a shoe box Sentra SE-R mod it till I find it undrivable on da street- as it happened with the last one I owned- and then I will be forced to drive my Max back again....

 

Got my 2K GXE 5spd on 3/2001 with 7K miles. I now have 88K. It is the longest I have ever had a daily driver, period. The car is a beast, I beat the cr@p out of it, and it rewards me with troublefree use. The paint looks horrible (black and sandblasted) but it runs like a top. Every time I consider getting a different car, I drive it a while and change my mind.

It has been 4 years this past May, and I am still loving it...Eventhough I have been tempted in trading her in a couple of times. Just under 26K miles, and I am hoping I can pay her off before X-mas.

 

We have owned this Maxima since Oct 2000. It was a left over as the 01 were allready on the lot. We got a great deal. We went back to the same dealer for our Pathfinder Armada this past March. We also paid the Maxima off so now we just own on the Armada. Since we have paid it off, I have spent $1100 in emissions type repairs (O2 sensiors and downpipe neither of which are covered on the emissions warranty). I really hope this is the last of it otherwise my very high opinion of this car will start to deminish.

The car is fantastic. It is now mine as my wife and son get to ride around in the Armada. My Max is an SE 5-speed with the Meridian package (17 in wheels, sunroof and homelink). The car has 75k miles on it and runs great. The engine does need a cleaning real bad, but other then that all is well with the car (Knock on wood).

 

I got my max about 4 months ago. It had 41k on it. I traded in my accord for it. Best decision I ever made!

 

I bought my 2k GLE new in November of 2000. I've had it for over 3 and a half years and now has 93K on it. Some original and some modded parts. I will drive it till it runs into the ground...

 

Drive it till it costs too much to maintain / or when it rusts into pieces..

 

My car will have its 5th birthday on July 9th. 99k later I still love my car other than the falling off the lift/bent frame thing that happened in 01.

 

bought brand new on july 4 1999. now with 65k and a BRAND NEW engine to boot

Hey, Max20SE00, I have had my eyes on some grille kits...which one did you go with?

 

1100 dollars on emissions equippment repleacement ?? wow.... I take it U took it to the dealer to get it fixed. Word of advice for the guys on the forum- ask some of us locals for help. Instead of going to the dealer and repleacing unneccessary parts. Dealers and techs know less bout Maximas than some average forum members here.

 

I bought mine in January 2000. and I'm not finished modding it.

 

4th year coming up in September...54k or so..

 

bought my 2000SE 5SPD new in August 2000. it's now fully paid off and i have about 37K miles on it. i plan on driving it for at least another six years.

 

3 years 102,000 miles, and still loving it..

 

I got mine April 2003 with 10,000 miles...it was a steal. Since then I have put about 20,000 miles on it and I love it. I'm not getting rid of it until I can afford to get a GS4 or something similar.

 

Go mine oct 25 99, now has 106k with no problems n still lovin it and have no plans of getting rid of it
