02' MaX, replace an auto with manual transmission?

I was wondering how insane/possible it would be to replace a 2002 automatic transmission for the manual one. I just bought the car used two months ago and am kicking myself for not getting one with a manual transmission (sadly, I could not find one in Baton Rouge...city of slim pickens). Based on what I can tell there shouldn't be a problem for the shifter and clutch pedal, but what about the drivetrain, etc. (I'm not the most mechanically knowledgeable when it comes to cars...want to be better though)? I'm assuming it's probably a better idea to sell it and buy the one I want. Any ideas on the cost required? Any advice would be appreciated.

i know its closest place in the world but if you are considering this, you may want to contact jeff@maximumtuning. check out their site @ maximumtuning.net. they dont have 5.5 conversions yet but their site just might be updated. not sure what kind of downtime is required but im sure you can talk with them and see if its feasible or not. if i were you and really wanted the manual then i would trade in for one.

I am seriously thinking about converting my 5th gen max to manual and was wondering if anyone who dealt with Jeff@maxtuning can tell me if they are reliable and if they did the job right. Any other info such as time would be appreciated too.
