Drive to sears put buy a torque wrench, put it on in the parking lot, or borrow one. I have one and always torque my wheels after taking them off, plus it's a cool toy, you will use it again, I got mine for 60 bucks. Completely worth it. Sear does sell cheap ones to, I got a 20-150 for 60 bucks. I would say yes you need to use one.
