Just bought my folks Maxima 2000, I have the leather, all the electronic ****, but the outside look kinda is a grampa look. I have a beige Maxima. So what I am looking to do, is give my Max some StYle...
First off, I am definatly goign to put windows shading, I don't know how dark I should put the windows... I woundn't want to have to take it off because the cops have a problem with it. After that... I am asking myself what to do to make my car look good, I definatly don't want to park my car for winter, because at first I was hypnotised on changing my car color to black and getting this body kit on it:

But I quickly learned that I can't be riding around with a body kit in winter time. But sombody did suggest "limps" ?! that would be a body kit that is fixed with bolts and that could be taken off during winter time. Anyhow, I want a good looking car, if the beige color is a problem... ill change it, I just want some expert advice !

First thing i would do is change the tails on your car, because in my opinion i only like the 2k tails on a white or black max all the other colors look good with the 2k3 tails.
2)Then honestly i would recommend dropping it.

1) So you would keep the beige color... and could you be more specific on the tails changing ( i am a noob here...)

Yeah, well for a good paint job you have to pay alot of money, there are alot of nice looking beige maximas on the .org, the taillights can be purchased on www.southwestautoworks.com i believe thats their site.

3)Just naming the stuff in order of how i would do it.
4)My opinion on a system is that i dont think you should be blasting music louder than hell if your car is stock

oh and the reason why i say drop as second is because i wish i had done it before anything because its probably the best thing you can do for the appearance and performance of your car.

There is NOTHING wrong with a Beige car...there correct color is Sunlit Sand. Here is mine:

 

paint it black and get some spinner hub caps!

I would get another car, before I painted it black. If you want black, sell your car and buy something else.

Definitely change the tails, add the factory spoiler, tint the windows , different rims (18" for the warmer months). That is just the starter for good looks approx $2000 - $4000

 

another small but subtle change would be to get clear corners for your sidemarker lights. the red and orange reflectors are fugly

Checked out what you guys gave me like suggestions, but dropping my car or giving it any body job to get it closer to ground would not be a good idea for a guy like me... Because when winter comes... I will be skating with my car in the streets! I will start by getting my windows tinted, that is 1rst thing. After that I would like to do some of the changes mentionned, but I am kinda "newb" in car vocabulary... when you talk about tails, you want me to change the lights in the back... I will reply to this post further tonight with images so you guys can have a visual of what I am starting with!

Yeah, definitely change the tails. Not hard to do at all. I changed mine from the black SE ones, to the 2K2+ SE ones. I just recently changed the badges to chrome, because the smoked ones did not match well with the Euro's. Also, get some AE door sills and rims. As far as Igor's car, looks good! Love to get those rims! Here are some pics on my tails.

First things first. I would start by getting rid of the fuzzy "8 ball" hanging from the rear-view mirror

 

man i didnt even see the 8-ball till you noticed.. get a nice front lip.. cant possible lower the ground clearence more than 2 inches.. .. so youll have like 4 inch of ground clearence for the front bumper, no big deal

Forget about the front lip, you can't have a front lip with these rims plus your folks are going to drive it too, right? Most of you GLEs have these multispoke 16", which give the Max this grampa look. If you don't want to get fancy, just get OEM Maxima 17" from any of the orgers here, there's a ton of them for sale. And get the 03 tails, these are a must.

don't do ANYTHING to your car that you see here:

 

If your family is gonna drive it also, dont do anything to it where a whole bunch of people are going to try to race your mom and dad... I had that happen with my maxima.. People would always try to race them and my car was stock. Also, the first thing I would do since you car is already fancy inside is get some rims, lower it, and tint it... You can start to work on things from there. And like Maximadmoiselle said, in that color, the 03 clear talks would look sweet. But otherwise you car looks very well taken care of.
