weird problem with blinker

Hey.

I went to put the new blinkers in, and yet the side that as out, still would not work.

Has anyone have a problem like this? I'm really hoping to avoid going to nissan before i fix 'other' problems (long story) so i wish i could resolve this problem on my own.

Help!

I understand that you meant "turn signals". If that is the case then the same wire feeds three places: front turn signal lamp, rear combination lamp and dashboard indicator. Are all of them not blinking? I'd swap bulbs from side to side just to check that it's not them. OTOH if all three are out then it could be combination switch (the one on the steering wheel) the rest are just wires. Both sides share the same circuit up to the battery starting from combination switch. There's simple way to check - if you turn on you "hazard light" switch and both sides start blinking then it's the combination switch if one side is still out - that's wires. "Hazard light" switch feeds turn signals in parallel with combination switch.

i checked

it must be the wires then, because the hazards do the same thing. Nothing else is effected.

Real weird. Im gonna try tommorow just swapping the bulbs around. This really sucks for me, because i won't go to the dealer until i finally relocate my 02 sensors from the header thing. That way i dont pull in with my SES light on and have them annoy me bout that or try to blame me .

ALso, u think if i go with the piaa bulbs they will try to blame that? I lost one of the bulbs, this sux.

Almost any bulb on the car can be checked by connecting between + battery and the body of the car - the're all 12V. If your rear driver side turn signal works then it is the wire/connector/ground from the combination switch to the front bulb. I'd start from around the bulb - it is more likely to have bad contact somewhere in a connector/socket/ground.
