The GReddy sounds really good and nothing like a Civic, but since you have the Y-pipe, it'll be a lot louder from what I've been told. Never heard what the C-man sounds like yet.

The greddy is ugly, and I'm told it drones like a mufukka. I just bought the Cattman. My decision was b/w that and the Frankencar, but they never returned my phone calls, so fukk them...

I've been looking for a stock Mitsu Eclispse GT exhaust -- mostly cause of the sound. It's got that Maserati quality which I just love. Hoping it will sound as good on the VQ. They're about $260 new, so I've been looking around on the Eclipse forums for a used one. I'll keep ya posted.

My .o2 is to PM the NY people that are near u ask if u can hear there exhaust.
Listen to it from the outside and then drive the car with the different exhaust setup. Everyone has different opinions of the exhaust. U have to decide which one sounds good to u. Do u want single like a Greddy or dual like a C-man?

For what you're looking for soundwise, it seems like the Greddy would be good for you. Or one of those cheap staight through universal muffs...

Greddy has O2 sensor problem, you need to tell the shop to weld a o2 sensor plug for the Greddy. If you don't, the engine light will be on forever.

Not on a 00- Cali models and up... They don't have a post cat 02 sensor behind the main cat. I have a Greddy EVO, with modified Cattman ypipe, extrude honed stock exhaust manifolds with no precats. My car sounds very nice and deep. I heard a auto 00 with a Stillen Ypipe and Greddy exhaust with no cat, and it don't sound anything like my 5spd 01. I had a custom 2.5" Magnaflow catback on before my Greddy, it was much louder but deeper. I acutally felt a power increase with the Greddy.

Hey man, I was confused at first too. But then I got a flowmaster 60 series muffler handed to me and I love it. I just had a straight pipe put on where the resinator was and now want to buy the cattman y-pipe. Also the flowmaster is not at all loud, its got a deep throaty tone. Just my opionon.

exhaust

jic magic is the way to go.. nice pull and pick up of power across the rpm really felt at 3200 up along with a cattman y-pipe and its not to loud. look it up at www.performancecenter.com has all of the exhaust on there jic is also pricey at 730.00 but works well.

the problem is: with the money you've spend on the $tealing muffler. you could bought entire cat-back made in stainless steel.

I have a Cattman exhaust. sounds AMAZING, so agressive, but not ricey at all. THis exhaust, with your y pipe, and possible an intake should make your car sound sick...

p.s. the greddy will have a constant noise, even at a crusing speed, the cattman becomes very quiet if you are just driving regular. You may think you want a loud muffler all the time, but trust me, it gets annoying when you're just trying to drive normally, and you cant hear your radio.

I LOVE MY CATTMAN EXHAUST. It's loud, but the wow effect in power gains is awesome. I'm planning on getting some sound clips and would appreciate if someone could host for me.

Between your 2 choices, go Cattman. It's what I have, and I love it. I heard frankencar is quieter too, but the company is difficult to get ahold of...

I am directing my post to all that replied and have cat-back systems...how would you all describe the way your car sounds vs. the way a 350z or G35 sounds with there stock exhaust? Is there a similarity or diffrence.

I have an OBX and I like the subtlety of the sound. It's not high pitched and obnoxious. This way they don't know you are coming up to smoke them.

I have a Greddy Evo and I love the sound although it does drone from 2000-2500 rpms but its not annoying... guess it depends on what you're looking for in the sound of your exhaust. I'm looking for a y-pipe and intake right now and I'm sure things will only get louder...

As for your poll.... I can't decide which option to pick... sorry....

I can host them for you. I am interested in purchasing a Cattman cat-back so it is a win-win.

Do you have on a stock b-pipe or a modified w/ or w/out resonator?

I have an OBX. Cost me $165 on Ebay. Power is the same as the others and the cost is way way lower. All exhausts rust, all of them are going to turn to crap, no need to pay so much money for 2 hp more. I believe in putting quality stuff on my car like everyone else and I have been pleased with the OBX. I dont like the look, but there isn't much else to go with without paying way more.

Like everyone said, you have to decide what Look you want, then the sound is easy, they are all deep and loud.

okk here the thing I have had my exhaust now for about two weeks and I love the sound it make I mean love it but threres one thing the power, I think I might have lost power or just broke even before I had evo 2 when I floored it on occasion it would launch depending on which gear i was in now when I floor it it just slowly starts to build up momentum, my guess is it that i prob have no more back pressure right because the exhaust tip is 5 inches, im not sure if i should or not or if it would work but does anyone think its possible to keep my greddy piping but then put a cattman tip on it and would it give me my back pressure back, or maybe im jus imagining things... trying to find a place to dyno it give me feed back sorry it was soooo long lol

Cattman is the quieter of the two between it and Greddy. The fitment on both are great. Cattman is the only exhaust I've used on my last 3 maximas..
