Replacement Coils

Ok we've been talking recently about the 99 and 2K coil problems. Is there any recommendation for a *coughs* reliable and hotter coil to use that will give us a better spark that you prefer over the factory original?

I've got a 2K SE, just for reference.

LOL thanks much. I am one of those people that would love to mod the car where possible, but I am in that quagmire of "damn, I'm in California and don't want to put all the stock equipment back on ever two years for my smog test".

I was thinking the coils would be a great minor change. CAI, Catback exhaust w/a high volume Catalytic, etc all play into that also.

I see the Berk Tech Intake and want to get one, but some smog shops will look and say, "oh, no C.A.R.B. Number, I can't pass you". Ugh, I really don't want the headache. Yet for Byrk to get approval is *probably* around $30K.
