stock pads with crossdrilled rotors??

stock pads with crossdrilled rotors??

will this be ok???any downfalls to doing this??? i want better rotors but i dont want squeeky brakes

Um.. no, your probably going to get a lot of dust because the OEM pads are too soft!

The brakes will make noises when you slow down
Pad wear might accelerate
Once you put any grooves in the rotors you can't turn them. You can't turn down drilled rotors

cross-drilled rotors are not necessarily better rotors...there are plenty of blanks that are just as good, if not better than cross-drilled or slotted.

IMO, cross-drilled and slotted are for show, so get them if you want them for show but NOT if the ONLY reason is for better stopping under normal driving (meaning daily driving and not auto-x)

Sounds like his question isn't about whether to get rotors or not, but whether to use stock or aftermarket pads. I'm running stock pads on my rear rotors right now, because there looks like another year of life on them. At that point I'll replace them...

I am running stock pads with my crossdrilled rotors. They do cause more dust on rims but no other problems.
