Rear window spoiler destroyed

Tonight I was in harrisburg, pa and a really bad tstorm came through...very high winds, hail, and amazingly thunder and lightning. Anyway not more than 50feet from my maxima a very large oak tree fell. It fell the opposite way and didn't hit the maxima however due to the high winds the rear window spoiler...previously held by double sided tape actually cracked into 3 pieces and 1 piece....about 2ft long is missing and the other two were still attached to the car. I wouldn't be suprised if the winds were around 65+mph because supposedly a small tornado came through the area. So much for the rear window spoiler. Due to darkness I'll have pics tomorrow.

I bought it from an org member and he only had it 3 weeks. So I don't know.

Sorry to hear that Jason. The factory tape on those is not good. I replaced my tape with 3M moulding tape. That stuff is the strongest they make. (red backing)

Um....it wasn't factory tape...it was 3M tape and I was planning on removing the rear window spoiler today cuz I didn't like the look of it. And I wasn't making holes in my car for something I hadn't planned on keeping on.
And I don't think you guys understand it shattered while still being connected to the car.

Thats odd. Wonder why the whole thing just didn't fly off. Maybe the tape wasn't fully attached on one side or something...
