Automatic trans slipping? Dent in roof, body flex?

I have a 2002 SE with 36,000 miles. Just started to notice when cruising at 45 mph, I can make the transmission slip if I tap the gas, let off, tap the gas, let off, etc. I think I can also do it a 60 mph. It jerks/rocks back and forth slightly but just enough for me (and my wife who knows nothing about cars) to notice it. It acts like a manual transmission when you have it at the top end of the gear (high rpm's) and let off the gas and get back on it. Took to my dealer, said if anything is wrong the 6/60 warranty would cover interal parts or issues. But if nothing was wrong, it's a $95 inspection fee. Has anyone else experienced this? And can I take my car in and have them do any TSB that I find, or only if something is wrong? I guess I don't understand TSB's.

Also, check this out - My wife works at a hospital and takes the Maxima once in awhile. When I bought the car used it had a dent on the roof, right above the door post (I think you call it?). Had that fixed. Now, there is another one on the other side of the roof in the same spot. I swear folks, it's body flex or something. It completely crazy to think that someone would hit my car, leave no marks and then do it twice on two different sides. I'm just baffled. Has anyone heard of this??

Thanks!

Auto trannys start to slip before you can even notice; so once you can tell that it does not feel normal, there is Definitely someting wrong. Take it to the dealer NOW, make them fix it.
You tranny can slip for year before going out, don't wait you warranty will run out.

GIven what you just explained, thats NORMAL.

My moms 99 Max had been doing this since new, and I used to take it in for service all the time. It now has 160,000kms on it with the same crap.

In fact, the 03 Altima i have right now as a rental, and 3 other maximas I drove did the same thing. And the number of civics i drove.

Argh, you're painting a bleak picture for me. So you took it in, and they said that's normal?! I just can't believe that. Aren't there TSB's out there for stuff like this?
