the genuine nissan aero kit is $1050 w/ color match to maxima...

the stillen aero kit is $1153 (w/o painted?)

I think the nissan is a better deal, since its easier to install, better fit, etc, and i think it looks just as good as the stillen kit.

but are their any other real big differences between these two kits?

If anyone has detailed front/side/rear view of the nissan kit, that'll be great. Dont' need pics of the stillen kit b/c Y2KevSE had plenty of them. >=P

The stillen kit doesnt cost that much although it might painted. I can get it for 695 and get painted for 200 so thats 895... not 1100

This has been talked abot before and I don't think that the OEM kit is available as of yet. You can buy the individual replacement pieces but not the kit itself. The reason that has been given is because of how much difficulty Nissan has had installing it. They say that since Nissan is having difficulty with the install, they don't want to deal with customer complaints on fitment issues.

The AE lip sticks out and looks goofy to me and the bumper makes the muffler need to be turned upside down.. kinda half-@ssed if you ask me. I'd go stillen all the way.

I think...

The kits are certainly similar. I like the fact that my OEM kit is under warranty, but I suppose that requires the AE purchase. From what I can tell the Stillen is a bit lower to the ground in the front. I agree on the comment about the pipes being turned down with the OEM kit. My thoughts are take the OEM kit and drill the muffler through the wall of the rear piece. That might end up looking good.

the prices posted on the Stillen site are the MSRP. Contact your Stillen sales rep or any Stillen dealer for lower non-MSRP prices.

OEM aero VS Stillen aero

The OEM AE aero kit cost approximately $1,618.00 if purchased in separate pieces, which is the only way it is offered at the moment. I believe that it comes pre-painted, along with all of the necessary hardware to install it. The Ae aero kit is listed in the Accessories guide at the Nissan dealership, so it should be coming out in a separate package deal soon. Hopefully, it will be discounted a bit, since you'd be purchasing all of the pieces, maybe 20-25% or so. That should make it approx. $1,200. Not bad for being painted. Also, the Stillen kit is virtually the same, except the rear valence has some louvers (slots) in it.

-peace out

There are differences...

Stillen:
front lip is larger (the part near the wheels are thicker)
side rockers are larger and have subtle lines
rear valence, you can see.

AE:
front lip is smaller (looks parallel to the ground)
side rockers also looks parallel to the ground
rear valence, you can see.

Opinion...

How would a Stillen front lip look on an SE? I'm planning on just purchasing the Lip w/o the rest of the kit.

Unproportional because the part near the wheels will be lower than the rest of the car. It works on a 4th gen because the Stillen lip is parallel to the ground, but IMHO, it won't work for 5th gens.

I bought the kit back in 99', I think 795 was the price at the time (no one was really buying them). When the demand goes up, unfortunately so does the price. Call and ask for Andrew at ext 174. He'll hook ya up. The Stillen kit has to be the flyest kit out there. Every other kit is an overkill (ninja) and the others are an understatement(AE kit). But the Stillen kit compliments the car.
