Help, Warranty ALMOST GONE

I posted this before, but the org went down and i never got to see responses. Basically im having a problem with idle after reving the engine. If im in park and rev the engine to lik 3k, it will drop down all the way to 100, or 200, and recently it will even stall out. I have an automatic, and have 59610 miles, so my warranty is gone, so im really worried if this has to do with the tranny. This also will happen if im going down the road, and rev it up, and it has stalled before while i was driving. I would really appreciate any input

thanks
Brandon

Best advice is get to a dealer NOW and get it on the books that there's a problem that needs fixing.... NOW!

Then it's up to them to fix it under warranty, even if it takes them a few hundred/thousand miles to diagnose and properly fix it. If you get there before 60k then they'll keep working on it even after warranty's gone.

Yeah, i definitly want to do that, but the problem is that i dont know if its the tranny or something else. I was thinking it might be something as stupid as plugs, but i dont want to take it to the dealer to have them tell me its something stupid like the plugs and pay 100 for them to look at it for no reason, thats why i need you guys, any input at all if it might be something other than the tranny?

The "dealership" shouldn't charge you sh*t if no work is done on it. Just tell them to dianose to problem (should be no charge), if it is within the drivetrain, they'll fix it. If it's not within the drivetrain, tell them to give you a slip to show that you were here for that problem before 60,000 for future purposes. Not you can atlease know what the problem is. I just went pass 60,000 on my car. I brought it in the dealership and told them that it shifted funny (it didn't) so they could run a full check. NO CHARGE! Best thing in the world, free checkups.

Let me know how it goes

If you put the car in nutral and it does this my guess (only a guess) is that it's not the tranny, it's more of an ignition problem.

Last time i was at nissan, about 5 months ago, i brought it in because i felt that when i was breaking on snow that my brakes were acting funny, he told me he would check it out but it was a charge of 85/hour. I did it anyways and turned out getting a fan belt, so i didnt have to pay for the check. Ill check tomorrow, but i just hope that im not told the same thing. Im really thinking it is the ignition or something with probably having to get my car tuned up, because it almost at 60k. Thanks alot, and keep the input coming
