I have looked over a lot of past posts and there seems to be some problems with the RSB and the brake line. I have a 2k SE.

Does anyone know if the stillen rsb includes a bracket so the rsb won't rub against it?

Also, what will happen if I need work done, and my dealership sees my rsb and fstb? A lot of people have mentioned trouble with that. thanks...

I haven't ordered my RSB yet, however, its been my understanding from the posts that if you order it from Stillen it will include the extra brackets for the brake line... Stillen is aware of the problem and sends the brackets as part of the kit now.

Yeah, your RSB should come with a nifty little piece to keep your E-brake line away from the bracket. As for the dealer, I don't think there will be a problem. My dealer never got me on the RSB or FSTB, they always got me on the Y-pipe and my brakes.

What do you mean by the dealership "gets you on"? Does it void the warantee? Do they tell you it's unsafe or you don't know what you're doing so you are going to ruin your car?

Brake line problem?

Only problem that I could see with the Stillen RSB would be if you put one of the bolts in from the incorrect side (think it was the front one on the driver's side, but it is addressed in the instructions). Problem is if bolt is in from wrong direction, the end could rub against the rubber portion fo the brake line and possibly cause a failure.

So you make sure you have the threaded bolt pointed away from the brake line...

problem NOT solved by stillen

the problem is that the ABS line holder for the 2001 is different than the 2000 and interferes with stillen's bracket. You have to cut or bend the ABS line holder to get the rsb to fit. Another alternative is you can remove the ABS line holder altogether. (stillen says this is ok because the RSB blue brackets will hold the ABS line). I used the bending method and its worked fine.

Thanks for the info... I haven't tried it yet and was only going on what I thought I had read in previous threads.

ABS line

While installing my RSB I ran into the ABS issue and found a way to run it through the bracket. The top part of the bracket leaves a small space which fits the ABS line perfectly with the bracket which helps support it. The only problem is that the bracket can't be secured by the supplied bolts anymore, just the RSB brackets. Works great. I made one other modification. The Manufacturers ABS bracket has a place where they mount a plastic punch through. This part won't fit anymore. I cut it off. Its just a little metal tab. No Biggie. When you get it all installed you are going to love it. Good choice. My Max goes through tight corners like its on rails.
