Ventvisor Bugdeflector help please

So I purchased the Ventvisor Bugdeflector to protect the hood from the nasty chips the NYC construction areas are taking out of my car. I had considered getting the 3m clear bra, but I figured this would be much easier.

I have a few questions to anyone who might have installed this.

Did it fit without adjusting the height of the hood? I did a test run without installation and I do not see how the hood could close.

Did you install with Screws? or did you just use the tape? If you used screws, they is no predrilled holes in the hood so I am assuming that you created a new hole.

Thanks for all your help.

it fit fine without any adjusting, but they do touch the headlights when the hood is closed. used tape and screws. just make sure u dont go throught the hood with the screws. and yea had to make new holes for screws.

That vent visor bug deflector is a piece of $hit product. I wouldn't have let that thing anywhere near my car if I had known beforehand that it vibrates and causes an abrasion on the surface of my hood. It f'd up my hood badly. Don't make the mistake of letting the same happen to you.

yea forgot to tell you. it does exactly what sizzo says. i had it on for about 10k miles. when i took it off .. had a nice dull scratch mark line on the hood from it vibrating while u driving. since its so flexible it bends and touches your hood.
so up to you .. if you still want to put it on. get more of those little clear circle things and put them under the buglflector like every 3 inches or so. hope that helps

Mine is fine, I guess it depends on how good are you of installer.
I used screws also, you do need to slam the hood down to close, but it makes it nice and tight.
