Mag Lite Mod

Need some info on the "Mag Lite" mod. What kind of clamp/clip is that and where can you buy it? Is there an exact spot where the clamp has to be mounted as to not damage anything? Could the mag lite be considered a concealed weapon? (since the cops like to us em like one!)

you can buy it at home depot - the mounting brackets come in packs of 2 (you only need 1 though). Mount it like this pic using screws (you will need to drill pilot holes in the frame rail that supports the front of the seat:

and no....I doubt it could be considered a concealed weapon. Most people carry flashlights in their cars.

Is it actually a "Mag lite" clip, or something that just happens to work well for that purpose? And for the record I DID look for another thread regarding this question so no I dont need to read the "FAQ and important questions before posting a thread...blah blah blah" thank you very much!

I dunno...I did mine in Sept 2003, but I know several people had done it already - so I won't claim it as mine

for easy flashlight access??? Cuz maglites are great, till the batteries leak all over the blace, thats why I got an Inova X5, greatest flashlight ever. Waterproof, crush proof to 3000 LBS, and lights up EVERYTHING. Still, my six D Maglight was pretty fun to have.

It's looks cool there. It helps you out if you get car jacked. Easy access. Multiple colors to match your Max.

Some Home Depots carry the Maglites but not the clips. If you can't find the clips, you can order them online here

wouldn't battery leakage be due to the batteries, not the light? I've had my maglite for almost 10 years now with no battery leakage issues (and it has been badly abused, as you can see in my pic above....)

what does the X5 look like, out of curiosity?
