what kind of brakes are YOU using?
my brake pads are steadily wearing down and need to buy a new set. this will be my first set of pads so i havent a clue as to what works well with my car. ive got a 2000 gxe. now im just wondering what pads the rest of you org'ers have on your maximas? stock? aftermarket? which one is better? any input is much appreciated. THANKS!

I'm still using my stock brakes. But if I were you, I'd go with Hawk. I heard pretty nice reviews about them.
You can get them from www.customenterprise.com

BlehmCo BBK with Axxis Metal Master pads and OEM 2k4 rotors
They're exhibiting signs of "warpage", but after further investigation I believe this is being caused by a bent wheel... the bent wheel should be replaced in the next week or 2.
Besides that, the BlehmCo BBK's performance is excellent. I have never felt more secure with my braking on this car.

BlehmCo BBK with 2004 Maxima rotors and Bendix Titanium pads....pads have little to no fade, good bite, and are quiet as a mouse....that, and they're pretty cheap and you can get them at your local Advance Auto or Autozone....

I use EBC green stuff with slotted Brembo blanks. The pads are $48 at tire rack and the rotors I got from a group deal here. I love the EBC green stuff pads. The only downfall is you will need to change them every 20k or so.

ap racing bbk with hawk pads. They are excellent IMO, good stopping power and moderate bite so that your passengers don't kiss the front windshield. However they do dust alot. I recommend www.tirerack.com for stock pads
