Optima's are the only batteries that have been able to last longer than three years for me in Las Vegas with the stereo. I've had no problems so far and when it does finally go out I'll be going back to Interstate (they pro-rate the price) to pick up a new one.

Would you happen to have the part number?
Thanks
i pull up the positive side cable from the holder...there's socket or holder thing that holds the cable..just pull it up and you don't have to bend anything...

fast charges, and when completely drained can be recharged plenty of times- those running high output alternators and/or heavy audio equipment benefit most- can also be ran with car off for extended periods of time while still being able to hold a charge and enough cold cranking amps to start the car
The red top is just a heavy duty conventional(non deep cycle) battery replacement
I don't understand why the Orange Top would have been recommended, unless it was intended to be installed "backwards" so that the negative post would be on the right. I don't know about y'all, but installing a "reverse terminal" battery backwards just seems too complicated to me. Why not just install a regular (non-reversed terminal) battery normally?
In any case, there are better options today, specifically the 75/25 if you want dual posts, or the "Group 35". [Edit: The Group 35 is actually a "reverse terminal" battery also, but with the posts positioned closer to the edge]
And finally, what was the Orange top 34R is now the Red Top 34R. The Orange Top was "a Red Top with reverse terminals", and I guess Optima decided that just confused people, so now they have Red Tops in both regular and reverse terminal configurations.
Get all that?
Edit: Actually, talk about confusing people. I am finding two different "Group 35" batteries. One has the posts at the back corners and has the negative post on the right. The other is a "reverse terminal" battery (negative on the left) with the posts near the front. Well, I called Optima, and these are in fact the same battery, just with the top label repositioned. They also confirm that the "Group 35" is the recommended battery for the Maxima. Also listed are the 75/25 (aka 75/35) and the 34R (now a Red Top, used to be an Orange Top).
