i just bought an air/fuel gauge and wired it up to the middle wire from the o2 in the front, it works just fine but now i am getting a very low idle and a check engine light, i was just wondering if someone else knew another place to wire it or the right place to wire it

the instruction manual said not to wire it to the o2 sensor so if anyone knows help me out

This is a picture of the harness we tapped to make my gauge read. Standing from the front bumper it's the light blue harness all the way on your left. Should be the white wire on driver's side.

 

that is where i currently have it tapped , and having problems
