Sunroof switches

My sunroof tilt switch, when depressed sticks in the up position, the switch itself. I always pop it back to the neutral position because I keep thinking it might burn something out if it says actuated. Is it normal for the switch to stay up like that or should I keep returning it to the neutral position? Thanks for the help.

actually you could leave the switch despressed forever because it is electronic. When the sunroof is fully open or closed it will stop automatically and you cant move it more even if you depress the switch. basically it disables the switch after its fully open or closed. Take the switch apart and put a bit of wd-40 in it. Either that or it needs a new spring
