No, all cars in the US must reflect amber from the front size and red from the rear. Chances are you won't be stopped but they are 100% Illegal. More info here....

No the bulbs don't make a difference since they still do not reflect amber/red during the day.

Thats what I always heard, but who knows. I have neither and have never had a problem, so I am happy.

I never had a problem with the cops or PA inspection with the clear lights on this car. BUT on my Prelude i've been pulled over and given a fix-it ticket for clear side markers. So I know the law first hand. I was under the impression that red/amber bulbs would do the trick but thats not the case.

Hamy, your a wealth of knowledge. I already have tint, so why not clear out the sides.

Yeah I have tint too...I've been pulled over 3 times for tint in the past 4 years so I know the drill. I'm sure you understand being from cental PA too....but the cops here honestly have nothing better to do. I'd get the clears and not worry about it. Upper Allen police are the worst so just stay clear of them and you will be fine.

I have 45% all around, it looks decent with my black leather interior and does not stand out like 35 or 20%. If I pass a cop or see one 'patrolling', I just slide my sunroof shade open so it it lights up my inside a little more and the tint doenst look so dark. So far so good, but I'll probably get pulled over today because we talked about it.
