No really, I did. Geico is now doing insurance in Jersey. Just thought I'd give the guys in Jersey a heads up. And no, I don't work for them. I just called them and they seriously saved me $1300 a year.

Yeah, just wait until something happens to your car and you'll change your tune. My car got stolen and they dropped me *BEFORE* the police report was even filed. Later, some guy whose wall/house got hit by the perp that stole the car, tried suing ME for damages. Thanks Geico...not.

Using Progressive now, but haven't had to make a claim yet.

Progressive does not underwrite in Jersey. I have no illusion that I'm getting what I'm paying for, but I'm so sick and tired of the car insurance situation in this state that Geico is a welcome alternative.

Nismo, agreed... the lowest quote I got was for 2600/yr. (from NJCure) on my 02 max (financed). Geico gave me insurance for 1300/yr. and I got more coverage.

Geico quoted me $300 more a year than Progressive. So I went with Progressive. I pay $580 every 6 months for full coverage..

NJCURE is the insurance company I am switching from. My deductibles are lower, and I can actually reach a live person at Geico. NJCURE was open from 8-4 with a two hour lunch break during the middle of day it seemed.

I switched last month and saved $1800 over the course of the year, total cost $2400 opposed to $3800 per year from State Farm. I just wish I had called a long time ago...
