VQ35DE interchangeable parts

Hi, I am about to get a 02-03 Maxima and I wanted to know what parts are interchangeable b/t the 350Z, G35, and Altima. I also wanted to know where the extra hp/tq come from in the 350Z and G35 (is it engine related at all). I rather go supercharger/turbo from the begining if I cannot do mid-low 13s all motor. Thanks....

Where is the search?

AFAIK, what separates the VQ35DE in the Z/G35/FX from that of the Maxima/Altima/Murano/Quest is: ECU programming. But the Maxima and Altima have essentially the same powertrain.

are you getting a 4AT (automatic) or 6MT (manual)??

Virtually everything is interchangeable but about the only things that carry the same part numbers between them ('02-'03 Max vs. '03 350Z) are the heads, cams, pistons, rings, rods, crank. In '04 many of the part numbers began to differ.
What makes the engines different powerwise is the design of the intake manifolds, the exhaust and the ECU programming.

When any VQ35 owner starts to shop for engine parts from the dealer they should first look for '04 Maxima engine parts because of the drastic drop in cost.
