Here is a diagram of the exhaust components of our cars. The midpipe is part #20300N. A true catback is all the exhaust pieces from the Catalytic converter back. If you just have a muffler, he may just be talking about building you an axle-back setup.

For $100 it won't be mandrel bent and it won't be a stainless muffler. You will end up with one of the aluminized steel mufflers at that price for sure.

I'm sure most will agree with me here, go for a Y-pipe instead for about $100 more.

Ahh, I hate to tell you but.....there's no way you have headers and a y-pipe...you have either headers or a y-pipe, and that's because all the headers for our cars terminate at the catalytic converter -exactly the same place where a y-pipe terminates so.....what do you really have??

Headers come with a y-pipe.

headers come with a portion that replaces the y-pipe area and the front and rear manifolds. Galo is being technical by saying that headers do not come with a y-pipe.
