Is there any difference between the ecm for an auto and a manual? I wanna buy another ecm to get reprogrammed and I found one but he doesnt know if it came out of an autotrajic or a manual. Is it possible to know usin this info?

under that it has 590-58742.

 

I believe there is a difference in ECM. They are programmed differently. I tried running the VIN online and couldn't find out, but there is a way to read the VIN for manual or auto.

 

Yes, there is a difference.

Any dealer can search that VIN# and tell whether it's from a manual or auto car.
