DDE pics???

How are you guys taking good night pics with your DDEs on? Everytime i have tried it looks like a blur of light. Thanks for any info.

i'm no camera expert so i'll let the other guys chime in with tips on how to use adjustable exposure and shutter speeds to get the best night pics.

personally i've found the best pics of dde's can be taken right at dusk before sundown instead of complete darkness, of course without the flash. you'll need a tripod or something steady to rest the camera on for the pics to come out ok though.

the only good night pics i have of my dde's are up close, still trying to figure out the exposure and shutter speed settings...

If you have an auto light adjustment feature you should be able to trigger it when you press the button down halfway. You should do this while up close to your lights so that your camera thinks there is lots of light. Then you can back up and take a pretty picture of your DDE's.

fooled around with the exposure settings and these are about the best pics i could come up with so far...

if your camera has the option it looks like you have to adjust the exposure lower so the camera thinks there's more light than there really is.
