wipers

It may be a bit insignificant, but what wiper blades (or refills) should I get for my '00 max? Nissan ok? Seems there are only a few out there that even have an application that fits. 26" on driver's side, 17" on passenger.

What about Piaa? They seem to be high end..........too high end? Are they refillable?

Suggestions are appreciated.

These Nissan OEM ones are actually pretty good, but the PIAA silicone ones are the best you can buy. That's what I'll get when I replace...

I may do piaa but:

Are they refillable?

Anyone know of a place other than autothing.com to get them? There's currently no dealer in San Antonio.

PIAA has the best. I got mine at www.autobarn.com. I'm not sure what the measurements are though.

Just get the inserts here, they will fit in the OEM frames:

I got free rain X wipers from a friend who works at Jiffy Lube and they are some of the best wipers I've had so far.

What's wrong w/ the regular wipers you can buy anywhere? Is there a big difference w/ the name band ones? You figure to replace them every 6mo-1yr regardless.

The PIAA are Silicone and add a coating on the windshield everytime they wipe. It is almost like the Rain-X effect, I rarely use my blades at night and almost never use my fluid unless it really bad.

Just my $.02

IMO - Get whatever is the cheapest. They all work great when you first put them on. But they slowly degrade over time. You are going to have to replace them in a year anyway, so just buy the el cheapo's and replace them when ready. I have bought both the cheap and top of the line for several vehicles. They all work fine and seem to last generally the same amount of time.
