how about handling performance without lowering the car?

For $300 you can get the
Cattman (or Addco or Progress) RSB (rear sway bar) and the
BlehmCo LTB (lower tie bar -stage 2)

these two things will greatly enhance the handling of your car while keeping stock height.

Get a dash kit, a molded one. Those base SEs look... I wish I could tell you that you could get aftermarket leather upholstery for $300, but unfortunately that'd set you back at least a grand. Upgrading your fog bulbs is a good idea too.

thanks tedie...I read it

but he seemed to be equating "performance" with "intake" and maybe he didn't realize that he could get better handling without lowering the car.....

What handling, he said already he uses the Max to deliver chickens....
I agree though that with ~$500 to spend suspension is the very first thing on the list. But that's another topic. Btw, I don't remember if I got a chance to post in your thread but the Max looks sweet after the drop.

thanks....I like it! The two suspension things I listed up there would only be around $250 though and then he still has $50 for some light bulbs
