Whether they are a waste or not is not the issue. People will use them either for the handling characteristic that they arguably provide or to dress up their bay. From what I know a FSTB is a FSTB is FSTB if you know what I mean. Get the cheapest.

All the bars do the same job regardless of who makes them.

FSTB:
- Minimal effect for the average driver; may feel more during high-speed cornering
- Some claim it helps with torque steer
- Least expensive are the generic ones from eBay (between $9 to $30); mid-level are like the ones from Otto Racing (about $40); most-expensive are from Stillen and Cattman ($150 to $200)

RSTB:
- Minimal effect for the average driver
- Usually recommended to 'just save your money for some other mod'
- Least expensive is a generic one offered occasionally on eBay ($30); only other choice is from Stillen which is expensive ($140)

RSB:
- Almost a 'required' mod for stock suspension
- Moderately-priced ones from Addco or Progress (between $110 to $140) and Stillen knock-off on eBay ($115) or actual Stillen ($240)

Again, all the bars do the same job, so it all comes down to looks and how much you want to pay for that.

Peace.

i noticed a difference in handling after i installed my Stillen FSTB, and that was when i was on stock SE suspension back in '98 lol. I later added their RSB and a courtesy RSTB after i was lowered(sprint/agx) and the car still feels like im on rails when i take turns.

I agree completely. But don't sleep on the LTB. The LTB (lower tie bar) does essentially the same for the front that the RSB does for the rear.....

you can see in my sig what I have.....

The LTB introduces a bit too much understeer for my tastes, but for most its the better way to go.

I agree it does....but a couple things are of note:
If you have adjustable struts (illuminas, GR-2) you can stiffen up the rear end if you want more oversteer.

Also, it's well-known that the safest setup for handling purposes is to have a slight amount of understeer, so the front end will break loose BEFORE the back end....the LTB is the counter-balance to the oversteer created by a RSB...

with my current setup (Maxspeeds, LTB, Stillen RSB, FSTB, and Illuminas set to 3 front and 3 rear) I feel like it is a very "balanced" setup. I actually may reset my rear illuminas to "2" to get a little bit more understeer.

Irish brings up a good point, you should set the car up to match your style and skill level. The RSBs effects are magnified by suspension upgrades, so unless you have alot of experience with car control, I would get the LTB with a modded suspension.
