Radiator Fan...
Radiator Fan...
Well, this past weekend my girlfriend and one of her good friend and I took a trip to Las Vegas going up the I-15 from Southern California. While stuck in traffic, on a hot and humid day, going up the Cajon Pass, one out of the 2 radiator fans decide to quite on me. This caused my car to almost overheat with the air conditioner on. So I stopped at that Chevron on top of the Cajon Pass to figure out why the fan didn't work. It turns out that the input voltage wire was not giving a good connection. Everytime I wiggle the rubber insulator, the fan will spin, but once I let go, it will stop.
Well, tomorrow I plan to remove the fan and try to fix it. I was wondering if anyone here in the forum try to do surgury on their radiator fan and had it working again? Please give me any insights on what to look for or how to remove certain parts of the fan. I plan to wing it and hope I can fix the fan of else I have to fork over $$$ for a new fan. Thank you.
