Dude...you needed to buy a bi-xenon HID kit, not a standard one. Because our 2000/01 Maximas use a dual filament bulb (one bulb for low and high beam), you need a dual filament xenon bulb; bi-xenon.

What do you mean by projector headlight kit, though? Are you talking about the projector headlamps that can be bought on eBay?

I thought we can just buy H3 HID and put it direct into the housing?? I know it's gonna create a lot glare to oncoming traffic if we don't modified the crappy projector.

I bought these lights too and wanted to do HID but heard that HID bulbs in these projectors will look terrible because the filament is oriented differently and not designed for halogen projector housing or something. But then I was thinking that the beam pattern is so terrible on these that maybe they were designed for HID but the producer was too cheap to put them in or something. Anyway, someone should try it and see if the beam pattern gets any better because it probably couldn't get any worse =P.

Yeah...you can. But why would you? The output would be disgusting and you'd p*ss off a lot of people when driving.

LOW BEAM USES H4 LIGHT BULB, HIGH BEAM USES H3.

thats what the projector headlight housing called for so i bought a H4 which came with bi-xenon light. which i just realized is probably a mistake

Which projectors did you buy? If they're the ones in that picture, than the low beams are H3 and the highs are H1.

Can't they just make proper projector HID's? The best looking HIDS are projectors, IMO, like the ones on 5-Series.

Actually its the H3 projector that is the low beam. I don't think you can just add an HID kit as the housing is for Halogen. PhxBlue had these headlights and retrofitted valeo projectors into them. The result was awesome! www.cardomain.com/id/phxblue - I think he has some pics on his page.
