SSR vs Unnamed Turbo company
SSR vs Unnamed Turbo company
Alright, I've been proposed by a company that at this time will remain nameless, to bring my car to them, so they can build a turbo for our Maxima's. My car would be the guinea pig. The company is going to pay for R&D, install, dyno time and anything else needed to get this turbo running right. I'm kind of up in the air on this. It seems like a great deal, but I'm just a little wearisome about having my car with a company I really know nothing about, although my friend seems to know a lot about this company since he got a turbo from them for his Spec-V. Right now I'm in Iraq and will be here for the next 8 1/2 months at least, so the time to get the install wouldn't be a problem. Also, either my Dad or a friend of mine will bring the car to the company for the turbo install. Anyway, please give me some advise and tell me would any of you do this if this oppurtunity was given to you.
i agree with him, if you can trust the source of the info then go for it. why dont you have ur dad go check the place out by himself as a regular customer and have hime tell you about their work and setup. kinda like a james bond under cover thing.

Sounds like quite a few logistics to work out for this to take place. As long as the lines of communication are open with you/your dad/friend and with the company, might be a good chance to get some good hp's.
Stay safe over there and you have a nice car waiting for you when you get back.
God speed

Good luck in Irak, man that's one place I wouldn't want to be, you need to be brave to go there.

The first question is this...is your car paid off? If not don't bother. Who wants to risk your engine being killed if you still owe money on the car. The last thing you need is to spoon out all kinds of cash to have the engine replaced. And don't think that this company will be helping you pay for it either. If your car is paid off, and the source is creditable then I'd say go for it. Personally I wouldn't just because its a Maxima and as nice as it would be to have it turbo'd if you want to go faster just buy another car.
I am the friend. I will post pics and a dyno here of my car with this companys kit on it. To show yall the quality of there product and the power there kit makes. They have outstanding customer service. The guy calls my phone to update me on where they are with the kit gives me tracking numbers and i am not the only one. He does this for ever one. If 1badmax gets this kit made he will then be able to stock a kit for yalls maxima. He is the leading turbo company on the specv. Has alot of turbo specv's with this kit. Best quality i have ever seen. The turbo specv are putting down low 13's and low 8's in the 1/8 mile. And yalls cars would be better then this. We are only pushing 8 pounds of boost. From the friend i say go for it. lol if my vote counts.
