My buddy just bought a 5th gen max from an auction. Unfortunately, the trany is gone. Will Nissan cover this under the drivetrain warranty? The milage is 55,000.

I was told that they cover the transmission for either 5 years or up to 60,000K miles. As long as it was not tampered with. My sister had her 2003 sentra traney go out and when we called the dealer they said it is NISSAN that has this coverage not the dealer. So as long as it is not 5 years old and less then 60,000K take it to the dealer and they should replace it for free.

Replaced yesterday by a Nissan Dealership at 52,000 miles. I was surprised and excited. They replaced with no questions asked.

isnt that true of the o2 sensor and the cat as well?
